September 13 - 19

This week was very productive.  I reached my goal of getting to the gym four times this week.  I just missed on Wednesday because I got home a little later and thought the gym would be too crowded.  Monday I started making Jacob and Brianna's stockings, I made Hawaiian Chicken for dinner and I straightened up the apartment.  I was taking the trash out and when I opened the apartment door, this thing shoots in the door and hides under our sandals.  Luckily it stopped there and I just crushed it with Paul's sandal.  I picked up the shoe to see I squished a small lizard! I couldn't believe it.  I scooped it up with some paper and took it out with the rest of the trash.

Tuesday was pretty much the same as Monday.  I made stuffed manicotti for us for dinner and made another one to take to another family in the ward the next day.  They had a baby last week, a little girl they named Melody.
Wednesday and Thursday were the same as the beginning of the week.  I made clam chowder and garlic bread for dinner.  Friday was a busy busy day.  I got out of work around 4:30, started laundry at the laundromat around 5, went to the gym while the clothes were washing, then I came back to put them in the dryer and called Paul while the clothes were drying.  We ended up getting home about the same time after that.  We had some pizza for dinner then went grocery shopping.  Paul got gas and took this picture of a butterfly while his car was filling up.  He said he touched its wings and it didn't even fly away!  We got the groceries and laundry put away and I took a shower before heading to bed.

Saturday we got up early and drove to OKC, which is 3.5 hours away from Dallas.  We had an appointment for a session at 11:00am.  The Dallas temple was closed for Covid when we first moved here, then it opened for a couple of weeks but was booked up and we couldn't get an appointment, then it closed for cleaning.  So the first time we've been to the temple since moving here was in Oklahoma! Crazy.  I'm glad we made the drive though.  It's the smallest temple I've been to.  We had a great experience there.  We listened to conference talks and BYU talks on the drive up.  We grabbed lunch at Black Bear Diner on the way home.  It is one of Paul's favorite places and the only ones in Texas are in Houston, which is further away than Oklahoma.  When we got back to Dallas, we passed a Buc-ee's and stopped for a minute.  Andrew texted me on Friday to tell me they made it to Buc-ee's and loved it! I knew they would.  He said they had a really cool Halloween shirt and Halloween just happens to be my second favorite holiday.  Paul and I both got one and they glow in the dark!  They are super cool.

Sunday, I played piano for primary.  We continued working on the new song for the primary program.  I did a lot better this week practicing the piano.  Then we did some gospel study after church, I took a nap, then we went for a walk and I made dinner while Paul prepped our lunches for the week.
It was a great week but we're both pretty tired haha.
