September 6-12

Happy birthday to Lizzy last Saturday, and happy anniversary to the parents last Sunday!

Monday was Labor Day, so I had work off and Paul just went into lab for two hours.  First thing in the morning we got the nail taken out of Paul's tire then we did laundry and grocery shopping. We talked about going to the zoo like we did last year but Paul didn't get into lab until the afternoon so then we just went out to dinner and came home and watched a movie.
Happy birthday to Sierra on Tuesday.  We had a good day by going to the gym, then I went to work and got to leave early.  I put away the laundry from yesterday and caught up on some tasks that I've been putting off, just organizing stuff.  Then Paul got home and we had dinner, I made a grilled chicken salad, we did our goals and went to bed.
Wednesday was equally as productive as Tuesday.  I made pesto from scratch from my basil plant and used it to make a salmon pasta dish for dinner.  Little Mary is moving a lot these days, I feel her kicks all the time now!
Thursday was a more restful day.  I made a huge mess making pesto and dinner the day before but was too tired to clean it up, so I did it the next morning before work.  I had a headache when I got back from work but I made a vegetarian pad thai to end the week.  Paul got home a little later because he drove a labmate home.  His labmate, Rishi, has been butting heads with the professor and will be leaving the lab soon.  Paul is sad to be losing him.  He has been very knowledgeable and helpful to Paul.
Friday morning we went to get my 20 week scan, which is a little late since I'm 22 weeks now.  Mary is looking really healthy!  The technician showed us her brain, heart, bladder, spine, lungs, umbilical cord, and placenta and everything was perfect!  Her heart rate was 142 and she weighs a little over a pound now.  They also confirmed that she is a girl :)
After work I came home to a package on my doorstep from Mom.  It was Penny Ann pancake mix!  I have been looking forward to getting this package all week!  Thanks mom!

Happy birthday to Mykael on Saturday.  We started the day by going to the gym then while Paul was getting ready for lab I made the pancakes and they were amazing!  I was so happy with how they turned out.  The recipe said they would make 5 pancakes but it really made 7 big pancakes, so that was awesome.  While Paul was in lab I listened to the video that Nathanael texted to us about attachment theory.  I thought it was very interesting and thought the speaker did a good job.  That night we were going to watch the BYU v. Utah game but it wasn't free, but it was cool that BYU won!

Sunday we started learning a new song in singing time for the Primary program.  It's called My Own Sacred Grove.  The recording is really fast but the primary president wants to sing it slower, which makes it easier on me to play it, so that was nice.  I found out that there are two other women in the ward that are expecting babies in January, and at least one of them is also having a girl.  Also, there was a huge cockroach that crawled up to my chair in sacrament meeting and Paul bravely stepped on it and threw it away after the meeting.  It was the size of my thumb!  it was so gross.  After church we went for a walk to the temple and then I made a classic Sunday dinner that had beef chunks, veggies, mashed potatoes, gravy, salad, and rolls.  It was very tasty.  Paul was so awesome and washed all the dishes.  That makes me think he really enjoyed dinner and wants me to make it every week ;)
