Happy birthday to Nathanael on Monday!

Tuesday, Paul resent his research material to Germany.  It took him half the time to prepare new stuff, he is learning so much and progressing very quickly in lab.  Paul felt Mary kick for the first time!

Happy Birthday to Claire on Wednesday!  And good luck to Ben in Milwaukie, OR.

I let my boss know this week that I will be leaving at the end of December, so I made a job posting for my replacement and posted it.  We had a few people apply right away and I set up interviews for three candidates in the next couple of weeks.  I called my mom after work and we had a nice conversation.  I also texted my new ministering companion and we made a plan to talk and make a plan for ministering. Paul got his test results back today from his genetics class and he did really well!

Thursday Paul finished his grant writing class.

Friday, one of my coworkers, Robert, went to New Mexico to help his in-laws and my boss, Scott, and my other coworker, Sarah, went to the Texas State Fair.  So I was at work alone.  I had a lot to do, so I worked from 10 am - 3 pm then I went home since everyone else took the day off.  The music coordinator for the primary in our ward reached out to me and asked me to play piano for the children's choir Christmas concert.  I said I would be happy to.  She sent me music and the first practice is on Sunday.

Saturday, Paul and I drove out to Grapevine, which is between Dallas and Fort Worth, close to the airport.  It is a cute town and there is a pumpkin farm there we went to.  They had roosters, pigs, goats, a donkey and an alpaca.  We did a corn maze and a hayride.  On the hayride we got to feed donkeys and cows.

Sunday we had Stake Conference.  They talked a lot about missionary work, holding to the iron rod, and limiting social media to be more sensitive to the Spirit.  Paul and I watched it through zoom.  Afterwards I FaceTimed my ministering companion.  Her name is Brooklynn and she is a Harvard graduate and her husband graduated from Boston College.  They just moved to Dallas from Boston two months ago and they are moving into a condo in the ward tomorrow.  We are getting together next Friday and meeting with the sisters we minister to next Sunday.  Later that night I went to the Christmas choir practice to play the piano and they said they would just need me to help for the first practice.  They found a different pianist that will be playing for the rest of the rehearsals and the performance.  I was a little sad but it will be okay because the church is 20 minutes away, so I would be driving 40 minutes every Sunday for the next two months, so maybe it is better that someone else will be helping out.
